Winter Wonderland Train and Light Show is Free for N. Hempstead Residents
The 12-day celebration features a holiday train show with a steam locomotive.
Albertson, NY– The Winter Wonderland Train and Light Show returns to Clark Botanic Garden in Albertson for a 12-day celebration featuring a holiday train show with a steam locomotive.
The event kicks off Dec. 12 and will be held daily from 10 a.m to 6 p.m. until Dec. 23 inside the historic Clark House.
“This year’s Winter Wonderland will feature some old favorites, like the train set, and some new activities, as well,” Supervisor Judi Bosworth said. The locomotive was donated to the show by Willis Hobbies.

There will be holiday lights in the garden and visitors can take pictures with life-sized cutouts of toy soldiers and characters from the Disney movie, “Frozen.”
“It’s a great opportunity to enjoy some hot chocolate, storytelling and holiday magic all amid the beautiful natural setting of Clark Botanic Garden,” Bosworth said.

On Saturday, Dec. 19, visitors will be offered free hot chocolate and an opportunity to make holiday crafts from 1-3 p.m. Residents will also be treated to readings of Chris Van Allsburg’s book, “The Polar Express,” from Bosworth and other Town officials.
The event, which is sponsored by the Town of North Hempstead, is free for all residents.
Clark Botanic Garden is located at 193 I.U. Willets Road in Albertson.
