Winterfest set for Saturday, Jan. 30 at Hempstead House

Celebration takes place at Sands Point Preserve on the Guggenheim Estate, where membership helps support the site's buildings and grounds.

The Sands Point Preserve celebrates every season throughout the year, including the new Winterfest in Hempstead House on Saturday, Jan. 30. The event offers fun for the entire family.

Enjoy a Saturday afternoon of games and winter-themed activities. Bring a camera for an indoor photo hunt. Create a nature project. Try your luck at interactive winter BINGO. Meet a local groundhog. Play to win in our single-elimination board game tournament. Hear winter stories read aloud. Design a craft inspired by aviator Charles Lindbergh. And gather clues to solve an animal mystery.

Snow on the ground? Dress in layers, and we’ll build snow castles, too.
