1 Man Dead, Another Hurt After Shooting In Brooklyn: Cops

The shooting broke out on Atlantic Avenue in Prospect Heights just after 1 a.m. on Monday, police said.

PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — One man is dead and another in the hospital after an early morning shooting in Prospect Heights on Monday, police said.

The 32-year-old and 37-year-old man were both shot on Atlantic Avenue near Grand Avenue just after 1 a.m., according to police.

The 32-year-old, who was shot in the chest, was taken to Brooklyn Methodist Hospital by emergency responders. He was pronounced deceased at the hospital, police said.

The 37-year-old was shot in the buttocks and was taken by a private car to Brooklyn Hospital in stable condition, police said.

There were no arrests in the shooting as of Monday morning.
