Beat Festival: Look Up! | Thursday, September 17 | 7:30-8:30pm

Spoken word and poetry hosted by Keisha-Gaye Anderson.

Born in Jamaica and raised in New York, Keisha-Gaye Anderson has always been a storyteller. The poet has curated an evening of spoken word exploring themes of unity, self-determination, and community. Look Up!, an evening of powerful spoken word artists - including Cheryl Boyce Taylor, JP Howard, Ras Osagyfo and Keisha herself - will explore themes of unity, self-determination, and community at FiveMyles, a gallery which has been embraced by its neighborhood’s Afro-Caribbean community for presenting non-Western art and being a place always open to an impromptu performance. Tickets to the evening are $10.
