Muni-Meters Come to Prospect Heights
The machines have arrived on Flatbush, Plaza Street and Vanderbilt with good and bad effects.
The Department Of Transportation has begun putting muni-meters in Prospect Heights, including on Flatbush between Bergen Ave. and 6th Ave.
It's sad to see the muni-meters come, because there's no longer the chance of finding a broken meter, which, the few times it happened, made my day.
But overall it's a pretty good thing. They make life a little bit simpler and I appreciate not having to seach for change.

The muni-meters replace all the existing coin-operated meters, and so far the fees have remained the same, $0.25 per 15 minutes for a 1hr maximum period.
I can only wonder how long the fees will remain this low this after the illustrious opens. Time will tell, since it seems like this city is strategically setting us up for infrastructure price increases as they so often do.
