Seniors get a reduced rate
Riding subways in our state,
Also healthy discounts on
Haircuts at the beauty salon.
Why then aren't we assisting
Them avoid back-alley trysting?
Make them legal, make them licit,
Make their status more explicit.
Many seniors in affairs
Are financially in arrears
And would surely marry if
The cost of weddings weren't so stiff,
So why not give the oldsters a break
And let them have their wedding cake?
Cut their price for a wedding license
By half (now this ain't rocket science)--
Make available and encourage
Licenses for some-sex marriage.
