Brooklyn-based author Mary Morris reads from her newly published novel, The Jazz Palace, which explores race, gender stereotypes, and prejudice through a story set in 1920’s Chicago. Morris discusse her two-decade undertaking to tell this story, her writing process, and the power of personal narratives and history to tell new stories.
