On Saturday, July 27, 2013 Reverend Lawrence Aker,

Cornerstone Baptist Church and Reverend Fred Lucas, Brooklyn Community Church will

co-convene a breakfast for Clergy and Lay Leaders in support of Robert E.

Cornegy, Jr.’s candidacy for City Council.

As Robert embarks on this journey, he is looking to those

who have historically been an inspiration to our people....our distinguished

clergy. As the son of the late Reverend Dr. Robert E. Cornegy, Sr., pastor of

Mount Calvary Baptist Church and an active member of Cornerstone Baptist Church

under the spiritual leadership of Rev. Aker, Robert knows that faith is the

foundation of all things.

We are asking you to join in our partnership with Robert to

address the issues facing our community. The purpose of this event is to:

·

Identify members of our congregation who are

interested in working as poll workers during the upcoming election

·

Identify ways we can support Robert’s Candidacy

·

Identify members interested in volunteering for

the Cornegy Campaign

·

Invite Robert to speak to our congregation

·

Discuss our current healthcare delivery system

Please join us for an honest dialogue and a call to the

action. We are also asking you to bring a monetary

contribution in support his campaign. This is the time for all people of faith

to join together and heal our community.
