9pm- Peter Wise
Genre: alt pop/folk
For fans of: Jeff Buckley, Matt Corby, Allen Stone, Gary Clark Jr.

Brooklyn via Boston singer/songwriter Peter Wise (ASCAP) has had a lifelong passion for music, playing guitar and piano for over 17 years. Spending the last four plus years performing in and around NYC, Wise brings a wide variety of musical influences into his own blend of alternative pop, fusing the lyricism of early 70’s folk rock with modern pop production and the guitar virtuosity of Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton and John Mayer into a style uniquely his own. With a 13 song debut album out in late 2013, Wise has begun to expand his audience, playing all over the country, and has had the privilege of sharing the stage with bands such as The Eagles, Green River Ordinance, and Luke Wade.

10pm- Artanker Convoy
Genre: psych pop
For fans of: Can, The Faces, Unknown Mortal Orchestra

Best known for their tripped out take on dirty jazz a la Miles Davis 1970, Convoy has dropped their keys & synthesizers in favor of 3 part harmonies over a blown out southern rock sound. The rhythms of drummer Artanker still surprise and keep the crowd shuffling its feet. The clean new sound of Convoy rips through the party but still takes you on occasional psychedelic hayrides.

The Wire:
“equal parts funk and freakout. There are definite tinges of Miles Davis’ early 70s groups.”

Seattle Weekly:
“…like Can; each song grows organically into something awkwardly suited for a dance party of sorts.”

11pm- Elison Jackson
Genre: Garage-folk & stoner soul
For fans of: Neil Young, The Felice Brothers, Elvis Perkins, Pink Floyd in 1969

Elison Jackson is a garage–folk/psychedelic rock band from New Haven, CT. The band has put out three records and several bedroom-demo mix-tapes since 2011. Their third record, “Do Not Fear To Kill A Dead Man”, was released in the fall of 2013 to critical acclaim. Featuring basement organs, haunted lyrics and Neil Young-esqe guitar jams, their sound has expanded significantly from its folk roots, moving forward with a strong foundation into blues, synth, and prog. They’ve shared the stage with Akron/Family, Water Liars, The Music Tapes, Those Darlins, The Sadies and more and toured the East Coast extensively for the past two years. They’ll be in the studio for the remainder of 2014, working on a wealth of new material. Their newest single, “Ghost F*cker”, is due out on 7” vinyl in 2015 on Azimuth Recordings.

“The beauty of this album is that it sounds like it was recorded around 1966, yet sounds perfect today and will still sound perfect 50 years from now.” – Lonesome Noise on “Do Not Fear…”

“With two solid full-length albums and a handful of EPs and singles now to their credit, Elison Jackson has established itself as one of Connecticut’s most consistently interesting young bands.” –Eric Danton (Rolling Stone, Wall St. Journal), Listen Dammit
