Teen Escapes Cops And Flees Into Crown Heights Subway, Police Say
An 18-year-old who had been arrested for assault escaped officers in Crown Heights Wednesday, police said.

CROWN HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — A recently-arrested teenager escaped NYPD and fled into a nearby subway, police said.
An 18-year-old who had just been arrested on assault charges escaped police officers at about 12:50 p.m. at the 71st precinct at Empire Boulevard and New York Avenue, said police.
Police believe the suspect, whom they have yet to locate as of 3:40 p.m., hopped on a 2 or 5 train at the nearby Sterling Street station near Empire Boulevard and Nostrand Avenue.

The handcuffed teen stands 5-foot 9-inches and was last seen wearing grey sweatpants and a tank top, police told CBS News.
