Everybody Meditate: A Birthday Celebration for Geshe Kelsang Gyatso

Since 1976, Geshe Kelsang has devoted every last bit of his time and energy into creating the Kadampa tradition. He has written Dharma books, translated all the essential practice texts, trained teachers, created Kadama Meditation centers and Kadmapa Buddhist Centers, established Dharma Celebrations and National and International festivals, designed and built temples, and believe it or not, a great deal more!

There will be six one-hour sessions throughout the day so that EVERYONE can have the opportunity to come and participate. We are hoping to see a great turnout in order to demonstrate that the Dharma is flourishing and that Geshe-la's hard work is appreciated. Please join us!

We will also each have an opportunity to participate in creating a wonderful birthday card for Venerable Geshe-la, which we will send to him so that he can know that we, his students in Brooklyn, appreciate him and most importantly to him, are appreciating and loving Buddha's teachings!

All sessions will be free of charge, although for those who wish there will be an opportunity to make a donation to the center's activities to help strengthen Geshe-la's activities in the Brooklyn area.
