This is a great way to get to know a little bit of what metalsmithing is all about. Learning how to make a simple band ring is a good introduction to basic high temperature soldering and fabrication techniques. You will learn how to create a textured band of metal, size it to fit, and solder the seam. Forming and finishing will follow.
This ring will be made from copper or brass and all tools and materials will be supplied. If you have tools from any previous metal working, please bring them along. No previous experience required.
