The man has robbed at least six New Yorkers at knifepoint in their apartment building elevators since November, police said.

BROOKLYN, NY — Cops are searching for a man who has attacked at least six New Yorkers at knifepoint during a weeks-long robbery spree in Brooklyn.
The man, who was caught on surveillance cameras before one of his attacks, has raked in nearly $3,000 from stealing wallets and cell phones in the Midwood area since the end of November, according to police.
In each attack, he approaches someone riding the elevator in a residential building, takes out a knife, and demands they hand over their property. So far nobody has been injured during the robberies, police said.
