Mary-Elaine Jenkins is a New York-based blueswoman. A South Carolina native and lifelong musician, she began performing live when she moved to Washington, DC for college. She came to New York by way of Madrid, where she spent two years teaching English, roaming around, and playing a whole lot of music. Her sound is a delicious and ever-evolving mix of blues, Americana roots, soul, and rock ‘n roll, specializing in the sultry/spooky. This ain’t your mama’s singer/songwriter music.

Genre: Rockabilly
For fans of: Wanda Jackson, Janis Martin, Elvis Presley, Gene Vincent

Rocket J is classy, she’s brassy, she’s a real gone, good-looking gal who can belt out a rockin’ tune that’ll really send you! She sings Rockabilly that will grab you by the front of the shirt, get in your face and remind you why this stuff is just plain fun music. Rocket J fun facts: The nickname Rocket J comes from Rocky the Flying Squirrel of The Bullwinkle Show, is a fanatic pug lover, does not possess ear lobes.

11pm- Maynard & the Musties
Genre: Country-Rock-Americana
For fans of: Whiskeytown, Hayes Carll, John Prine
I grew up in Nashville, in a certain era, and reach back to ca. 1967 when Dylan met Cash. It was a period where everyone read the Bible, yet maintained individual, incomprehensible moral codes that constantly were shifted according to personal and momentary use. What blossomed was heartbreak and sorrow.
