Genre: Folk - pop
For fans of: Ryan Adams , Damien Rice, David Gray
Peter Doran is an Irish Singer and Songwriter. Since 2006 he has independently released three albums. With each release, there has been an evolution in his sound, his songwriting and his voice. Peter’s combination of vocals and melody create a natural intimacy, one that makes the listener feel as though he is sharing his best kept secrets with them. With a great vocal range, the indie/alternative folk singer’s songs travel to unexpected places and draw the listener in, leaving a lasting impression that resonates long after a song has ended.
Doran can be described as Ryan Adams meets David Gray. Especially his voice reminds of Gray. - Podium info, Dutch press 2013
“Overhed The Stars” is a beautiful cd, no doubt about his talent. - Heaven, Dutch Press 2013
“…eclectic batch of songs that mingles folk, alt-country and sonic rock in one heady mixture. Opener ‘Perfumed Letter’ channels Jeff Buckley’s ‘Grace’ with great aplomb. ‘Julia’ and ‘Kicking and Screaming’ showcase a voice located somewhere on the spectrum between David Gray and Ray Lamontagne” - Shane Leahy, Music ReviewUnsigned.com

“It’s the craft and artistry of guys like Charlie Phillips that makes the success of John Mayer’s overwrought sentimentality such a travesty... rooted in the kind of blue-eyed soul and guitar balladry that tempts comparisons but, by virtue of its diversity, it aspires to something more original.” Joshua Potter, Metroland
