Chevy Lopez is a dynamic, Brooklyn based, six-piece coining the genre “gnarnb.” The term is a reference to both the members’ beach roots and their eclectic mix of musical influences, ranging from RnB and jazz to funk and reggae. The sultry vocal styles of their female lead are reminiscent of old-school soul, but the song concepts dive deeper into the current struggles of young adulthood. This combination of old and new draws a fan-base that cuts across age groups; making everyone want to get up and boogie down. Featuring: Lexi Todd on Vocals, Greg Warren on Lead Guitar, Julian Massiah on Saxophone, Chris Cielazewicz on Drums, Giovanni Stockton-Rossini on Bass Guitar, and Ryan McShea on Rhythm Guitar/Keyboard.
“With a striking leading lady and her sultry vocal skills, the funk-reggae-jam-rock-fusion ban Chevy Lopez has something extra special...” -Victoria Lassonde - The Sandpaper
“Chevy Lopez flat out killed it with their soulful, jazz-rock fusion style and impressive jam sessions.” -- Michael Molinaro, The Sandpaper
