Renaissance Home Health Care and Adult Day Services Hosted a Health Fair with Society In Action
On Sunday, May 4, 2014, Renaissance Adult Day Services hosted the Spring Into Health Fair created by Society In Action, Inc. at their Bedford location, 2625 Bedford Avenue in Brooklyn, NY. Brooklyn, NY resident, Rosalyn Sanchez, is the Director of Marketing and Community Outreach. Community members who attended the Spring Into Health Fair received free medical information and testing including cholesterol testing, hearing tests, prostate screening, blood sugar testing, vision exams, blood pressure screenings and more. Renaissance Home Health Care and Adult Day Services, which provides in-home and in-location care that promotes social, physical, and emotional well-being to residents of all five NY boroughs, was proud to offer their Bedford Center for the event.
Elsa Berrios, Social Model Director, believes that being a business in the community is a responsibility. “I was excited to open the Center to Society In Action. We have a space that is not only large enough with private rooms for screenings, but is also located in the heart of the community. Helping the entire community is our mission.”
Bernadette Gerard, CEO/President of Society in Action, couldn’t be more pleased to work so closely to the Renaissance Adult Day Services Center in Brooklyn. “At Society in Action we strive to always be in action for the well-being of our community. We are grateful to be able to create events with Renaissance that help us to accomplish this goal.”
