Genre: Jug Band, Hokum, Americana
For fans of: The Memphis Jug Band, Cannon’s Jug Stompers, Emmett Otter’s Jug Band Christmas
The Salt Cracker Crazies have been playing their own brand of jug centric skiffle for centuries. They sing about unicorns. They sing about fireworks. They sing about poontang. Once you’ve heard their bone rattling, floor shaking, gut thumping hokum, you’ll want to bang on something...hard.

10pm- Mason Porter
Genre: Folk-Rock/Bluegrass/Jam
For fans of: Grateful Dead, Railroad Earth
Philadelphia area folk-rock outfit Mason Porter will be releasing their latest album “Key to the Skyway” the first week June. The band has spent much of the last year touring in support of their 2014 release Home For The Harvest. Focused on vocal harmonies and simple acoustic arrangements, the album has drawn comparisons to the Grateful Dead’s American Beauty and Neil Young’s Harvest The song “That’s Alright By Me” received significant airplay from SirusXM station The Coffee House this past year and the album received support from the Folk DJ, Americana and AAA radio communities as well. .
“The music of Mason Porter could be best described as alternative bluegrass, and while the instrumentation is acoustic, their music borrows from genres such as acid rock, jazz, and punk. In this debut recording, the eclectic trio show musical prowess that is difficult to overlook.”- Les McIntyre, Bluegrass Unlimited Magazine

11pm- Holy Sheboygan!
Genre: Garbage-folk
For fans of: Tom Waits, Andrew Bird, Tom Petty, Sufjan Stevens
Holy Sheboygan! is a Wisconsin-based folk collective. They bring together various musical interests to accentuate their diverse talents and unconventional instrumentation. An energetic, family band flare is transmitted through anything from guitar to musical saw, from banjo to accordion, while repurposed local junk drives the percussive force of the band. They also create tape noise from found sounds, whether recorded near home or stumbled upon at a thrift store. In addition to their original songbook, they also have a vast knowledge of traditional Irish-Americana music, and have collaborated on and performed commissioned new music.
From mangosquash on our latest release, TWO (#5 on his top 10 of 2014): “TWO is so good all the way through. It also tackles some ambitious subject matter...there are fun instruments...plenty of horns, saxophones and strings...has a big full sound”
