7pm- Scott Krokoff
Genre: Americana
For fans of: Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, The Eagles, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Paul Simon
Scott plays Americana-flavored folk-rock and pop, primarily influenced by his love of music from the 60s and 70s. He is an acoustic-based songwriter whose songs are driven by their melodies. Vocally, he sounds like a combination of Jackson Browne and Glen Phillips. He is both a fingerpicker and strummer, fusing the fingerpicking styles of James Taylor, Paul Simon and Lindsay Buckingham, and incorporating the country-rock of Neil Young and The Eagles and the roots rock of Tom Petty.
“Realizations and Declarations is a winner! Definitely one worth repeating.” – Joshua Smotherman of Middle Tennessee Music - http://www.midtnmusic.com/realizations-and-declarations-with-scott-krokoff/
“The folk music is pop-driven with catchy rhythms and melodies, and roots-driven with throbbing B3-type sounds. … All of the songs emanate a sense of folk/rock with good clear vocals and infectious hooks.” – Matthew Forss of Inside World Music - http://insideworldmusic.blogspot.com/2013/05/cd-review-scott-krokoffs-realizations.html
“Musicians like Scott Krokoff, and God knows there aren't many, are returning to a pre mid-1980s synth revolution to tap into a world of melody and analog, where lovely songs of self-awareness rule.” – Iman Lababedi of Rock NYC Live and Recorded - http://www.rocknycliveandrecorded.com/2013/02/scott-krokoffs-realizations-declarations-ep-reviewed.h...
