TL Band + JD Patch + The Zimmymen and the Wimmymen + Eric Vitoff @ The Way Station

8pm- TL Band
genre: Folkabilly/ Harmony Rock
for fans of: Fleet Foxes, Fleetwood Mac, First Aid Kit

"Brash, poetic, and gifted singer-songwriter with an electrifying stage-presence, empassioned lyrics, and an impressive vocal range."
-Philadelphia Weekly

Now infuse that with the lush, sultry vocal harmonies/percussion stylings of theater majors, Zac Gilbert & Jerielle Morwitz. Next, add some special sauce to the mix with the John Bonham-esque dynamics of Tami Johnson on drums (9 years w/T.L.)! Rounding out this tasty dish is fellow singer-songwriter Sarah Mucho (The Sometime Boys) on bass.  TLB plays mostly in the Tri-State area and you can hear demos that support their upcoming EP in Fall 2013.

"Tara Lynne Mallon, you are a sexy woman. What a voice. Reminiscent of early Heart, Joni Mitchell, and an angel, this lady can sing." -Alan Pinkerton "Rockpile Magazine"

10pm- The Zimmymen and the Wimmymen
Bob Dylan Birthday Tribute

The Zimmymen and the Wimmymen are a merry band of Dylanologists who congregate annually to celebrate and perform the work of the Bard, Hibbing Minnesota’s own Robert Zimmerman, aka Bob Dylan. The Way Station show will mark the 16th year for these annual get-togethers, and will focus on 1965’s Bringing It all Back Home, which the band will perform in its entirety, track by track. We’ll round out the evening with cuts from Dylan’s extensive catalogue. So Zimmy fans should set “their boot heels to be wanderin’” to Prospect Heights on 5/30 for an evening of wall-to-wall Dylan. Bring your thought-dreams for analysis, and we’ll make an “attempt to shovel a glimpse into the ditch of what each one means”.

12am- Eric Vitoff
Genre: looping/acoustic/house/dance
For fans of: daft punk, James Blake, Reggie watts, john Mayer, bag raiders

Long Island born and raised and now Brooklyn based, Eric Vitoff's tunes toe the imaginary line between the genres of house/dance and acoustic singer-songwriter. Equipped just with an acoustic guitar and some effects pedals, he builds pulsing, colorful beats that make your feet move and your mind wonder just where all those sounds are coming from.
