PROSPECT HEIGHTS, BROOKLYN — Cops are searching for a man who shot someone in the leg after getting into an argument near Grand Army Plaza last month.

Video released Friday shows the moment the man — standing next to his car near Plaza Street East and Flatbush Avenue around midnight on Aug. 16 — took out a handgun and fired at the 31-year-old victim, according to police and the video.

The two men, and a woman who was with the shooter, had gotten into an argument right before the shooting, police said.

The shooting is the second time someone was shot near the Brooklyn plaza this summer.

Just days before the Aug. 16 incident, a 29-year-old was found shot dead on the other side of the plaza on Butler Place.

The two shootings are among only three that have happened in Prospect Heights so far this year as much of the rest of the borough is plagued by a dramatic spike in gun violence.
