7-Year-Old Manorville Boy Dies After Lake Grove Crash: Police
"Their pain is our pain, their suffering is our suffering." Friends are coming together to try and help a family devastated by loss.
MANORVILLE, NY — A 7-year-old boy injured in a motor vehicle crash in Lake Grove on Tuesday has died, police said.
Harrison Frisenda, of Manorville, was one of two children critically injured in the crash; he later died, police said.
According to Suffolk County Police, the crash took place on Middle Country Road, west of Hawkins Lane, in Lake Grove at 2:30 p.m. Six other people were also injured, police said.

Andreia Gaynor, 40, of Farmingville, was driving a 2020 Chevrolet Traverse west on Middle Country Road when she attempted to make a left turn into a parking lot on the south side of the street, police said. Her vehicle struck a 2018 Nissan Rogue being driven by Sungeethah Subramaniam, 22, of Selden, police said.
Two children in the Traverse, 3-year-old Katelyn Gaynor, of Farmingville, and Harrison were taken by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital in critical condition, police said.

Subramaniam was transported to the same hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Gaynor, an adult passenger in her vehicle, and three other children, ages 13, 10, and 3, were all transported to Stony Brook for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries, police said.
Both vehicles were impounded for safety checks; detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to call the Suffolk County Police Department's fourth squad at 631-854-8452.
A GoFundMe page, "The Beloved Frisenda Family Needs Your Support," was created by Mike and Chrissy Lepik of North Babylon to help.
"Heartbreak has come to the beloved Frisenda family," the page said. "Tragically Steve and Kelly's two children were in a terrible car accident and sadly lost their beautiful, sweet, smart, funny, amazing 7-year-old son Harrison."
The Lepiks added: "As our hearts are broken and grieving for our friends' unimaginable loss, we are trying to raise money to help them through the difficult times they will endure for the rest of their lives. Their pain is our pain, their suffering is our suffering — and any little bit will help them in the days to come.
