Baseball Hat Thief On The Loose: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY — Authorities are looking for a man who stole a baseball cap from a Tanger business, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, on Nov. 25 at 8:30 p.m., a man entered the Lids store at the Tanger Outlets, located at 1770 West Main Street, secreted a baseball cap valued at approximately $29 under his coat and fled the store without paying.

He's described as a white or hispanic male, approximately 25 to 35 years of age, with short brown hair and wearing a long green jacket, an orange baseball cap, a gold chain, and dark pants, police said.
