Female Employee Knocked To Ground In Kmart TV Robbery: Cops

A man "forcefully" stole the TV from a Kmart, injuring the female employee, police say.

RIVERHEAD, NY — A female employee was injured during a robbery at the Riverhead Kmart Tuesday night, police said.

According to Riverhead Town Police, the incident took place at 7:46 p.m. at the store on Old County Road when an unknown male "forcefully" stole a television, knocking the store employee to the ground and causing her to suffer a minor injury.

She was transported to Peconic Bay Medical Center by Riverhead Volunteer Ambulance Corps for treatment, police said.
