Police: Two Drunk Flanders Men Involved in Separate Single Car Accidents in Hampton Bays

The incidents occurred on Sunday.

Two Flanders men were arrested on DWI charges after they was involved in separate single car accidents in Hampton Bays on Sunday morning, according to Southampton Town Police.

The first incident occurred at about 4:30 a.m. when Jose Alamilla, 43, who was the sole occupant of a 2001 Dodge, was involved in a single car accident on Bellows Pond Road in Hampton Bays, according to police.

Further investigation revealed he was operating the car in an intoxicated condition, police said.

He was charged with driving while intoxicated and processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters, according to police.

Alamilla was arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court and was remanded to The Suffolk County Correctional facility in lieu of $600 bail.

The second incident occurred at about 4:40 a.m. when Nelson Alvardo, 42, who was the sole occupant of a 1999 Plymouth, was involved in another single car accident on Flanders Road in Hampton Bays, police said.

Further investigation revealed he was operating in an intoxicated condition, police said.

Alvarado driving while intoxicated and first degree aggravated unlicensed operation and was processed at Southampton Town Police Headquarters, according to police.

He was arraigned at Southampton Town Justice Court and remanded to The Suffolk County Correctional facility in lieu of $1,000 bail.
