Massapequa Teen Loses Control of Car, Ends Up in Wantagh Pond
Incident reportedly happened Wednesday afternoon.

A Massapequa teen lost control of his car on the Wantagh State Parkway and ended up in a pond Wednesday afternoon, according to Newsday.
The unidentified 17-year-old said he was cut off as he drove south near Merrick Road at 2:35 p.m., according to the report. The driver swerved, struck a sign and a park bench, and ended up in Wantagh’s Mill Pond.

The driver “was lucky” to be uninjured in the accident, State Trooper and State Police Spokesman Frank Bandiero said, according to the report. Read the full story here.
