Police Investigating Two Local Robberies
A bank and a store at Tanger Outlets were both robbed on Tuesday afternoon.

Riverhead Town Police are investigating two robberies that occurred at about the same time Tuesday afternoon.
The first robbery took place at the Capital One Bank on 1491 Main Road in Jamesport around 2 p.m, police said.
Police said a man displayed a note to the teller and fled the area through the north entrance, heading eastbound on Main Road with an unknown amount of money.

The robber, described as a black male wearing a white hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans, did not display a weapon, police said.
The same man may be connected to a robbery at a Capital One Bank in Riverhead last month, police said.

The second robbery Tuesday occurred around the same time at the Sunglass Hut store at the Tanger Outlets in Riverhead, police said.
Police said a man displayed a knife at the register and demanded money.
The cashier handed the robber the money and he then fled on foot with a total of $721, according to police.
The robber is described as a white male wearing a black sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark sunglasses, and dark boots, police said.
