Police: Riverhead Man Arrested For Allegedly Striking Woman With a Belt
The incident occurred early Saturday morning.

A Riverhead man was arrested early Saturday morning for allegedly striking a woman several times with a belt, according to Riverhead Town Police.
Riverhead Police were called to a residence on Wilson Avenue shortly after midnight after a 24 -year-old woman at that residence reported being hit several times, according to police.
Upon police arrival, Jesus Flores, 25, was arrested for second degree assault, police said.

He was transported to the Riverhead Town Police Department, and was held pending morning arraignment.
