The two students received the award for excellence in Physical Education, academics and leadership.

The annual New York State Association for Health, Physical Education, Recreation and Dance hosts the Suffolk Zone Awards dinner each December. During the dinner, an award is given to the top female and top male student that displays excellence in the following areas: achievement in Physical Education, academics and leadership. Each candidate must also excel academically and be a role model for others in his or her physical education classes.
