Search for Riverhead ATM Thieves Heats Up, Reward Offered: Police

RIVERHEAD, NY - The search continues for two men who stole an ATM from the lobby of the Hilton Garden Inn on Route 58 in Riverhead on Valentine’s Day, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Riverhead Police detectives are seeking the public’s assistance to identify and locate the men who swiped the ATM.

Two men loaded an ATM onto a hand truck and exited the Hilton Garden Inn on February 14 between 8:30 p.m. and 9:30 p.m, polie said.

The suspects are described as white or hispanic and were wearing black jackets and blue jean; one was wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt underneath his jacket and the other suspect was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt, police said.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers offers a cash reward of up to $5,000 for information that leads to an arrest. Anyone with information about this crime is asked to call anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will be kept confidential.
