The women's basketball team rallied from a 23-point second half deficit to defeat NYIT today (Feb. 4), 75-74. Senior forward Talia Beaulieu hit the game-winning basket from 15 feet with 2.0 seconds remaining. Senior Jasmine Williams led the team in scoring with 22 points.

Wrestling:
In a home meet with The College of New Jersey, Derek Longo (Ard. ’10), ranked 10th nationally among 165 pound wrestlers, pinned his opponent in 3:24, as the Springfield Pride won the day, 24-18.
Track:
Competing in the Spire Midwestern Indoor Open at Geneva, Ohio, Patrick Wortner (D.F '09) finished 15th of 36 runners in the Men's 5,000, with a time of 15:23.02.
Basketball:
Two former Rivertowns hoopsters were on opposite sides when Oneonta played at Plattsburgh on the 31st. Albie Skrelji (H '09) of the visitors scored 6 points on 2-4 in baskets, plus 2-3 at the foul line, and had 1 steal, while Junghoon Roh (D.F.'08) of the host team had a rebound and a steal for his team, who were returned victors in a very competitive contest, as they triumphed, 67-64.
In an 85-62 loss at Brockport on the 3rd, Skrelji had a layup, plus 4 boards, 1 assist, and 1 steal on the night. In a 92-74 loss at home with Buffalo State on the 3rd, Roh scored 11 points on 3 treys and 1 layup, plus having 1 assist in the game.
In a 55-51 loss to Western Ct. on the 31st, Lisa Bucci (Irv. '10) had 2 assists and 3 steals in the game, while at Eastern Nazarene on the 2nd, she had a trey plus 1-2 in foul tries for 4 points in the 58-49 win.
At Vassar on the 3rd, Skidmore topped the Brewers, 69-41, with Kevin Dahill (DF '10) having 1 foul point and an assist in the game.
In a game at home against Coast Guard on the 30th, Tara Gabelman (Irv.'10) of Connecticut College scored 13 points against the sea farers, plus having a team high of 5 boards and a steal in the 67-38 win.
At home with Hamilton on the 3rd, in a hard fought, tightly played contest, she scored 7 points, and led all defenders with her 12 rebounds, had 1 assist, 3 blocks, and a steal in the 57-51 win.
