College News from Dick Miller

Hosting Tufts and W.P.I., the Wheaton Lyons split wins and losses, as the Jumbos topped them, 191-158, while they outscored the Engineers, 190-179. Cara Morris finished 3rd in the 50 Butterfly, in 28:28, was 2nd in the 100 Individual Medley, clocked at, and, as the anchor in the 200 Freestyle Relay, her time of 25.41 was part of the winning clocking of 1:45.31.

In a 51-40 loss at Wesleyan, Tara Gabelman (Irv.'10) of Ct. College tied for a team high with 13 points, 7 rebounds, and 3 steals in the game, with the record now 14-4.

At the U. of D.C., in a 54-44 loss, Riley Harrington (Irv.'10) of St. Thomas Aquinas, had 1 rebound, with the team record now 9-10.

At Fredonia, the New Paltz Hawks dropped their game to the Blue Devils, 61-47, with point guard Pippa Mansdorf (H '10) having 1 basket, 2 assists, and 1 block in the contest, with the current record 10-8:8-4.

In a home contest with the U. of New England, Salve Regina's Lisa Bucci (Irv.'10) sank a trey, hit on 1 of back to back foul tires, and had 2 assists in the 63-51 win. The record 11-7: 9-2.

At Buffalo State, Albie Skrelji (H '09) had his most productive game yet for Oneonta, tying for a team high of 10 points, on 4-10 and 1-4, plus having 7 boards and 3 steals in the game, as the hosts topped their guests, 102-65, with the Red Dragons record is now at 2-16:1-10.
