'Law & Order' Director Sentenced for Child Porn
The Dobbs Ferry resident is the son of actress Jane Alexander.

Dobbs Ferry, NY — A Dobbs Ferry man was sentenced Tuesday on child pornography charges.
Jason Alexander, 52, of Bellair Drive, has been sentenced to 10 years probation, Acting Westchester County District Attorney James A. McCarty announced.
Alexander pleaded guilty Jan. 19 to promoting a sexual performance by a child and possessing an obscene sexual performance by a child, both felonies.

He is a television director and producer with such credits as “Law & Order” and “Rescue Me.” His mother is actress Jane Alexander.
Alexander was accused of having and file sharing illegal and obscene performances of sexual conduct by children less than 17 years of age.

An investigator from the county district attorney’s office downloaded child pornography from an Internet protocol (IP) address in Westchester County July 25, 2015.
In the course of the investigation the IP address was assigned to Alexander’s home address.
A forensic examination of computers and hard drives removed from his home revealed digital files of children less than 16 years old engaged in child pornography.
Alexander must also register as a sex offender with the state Sex Offender Registry.
