The Mercy College women's basketball team fell at the University of the District of Columbia, 84-61, this evening. Senior forwards Jasmine Williams and Talia Beaulieu posted double-doubles, with Williams leading Maverick scoring with 18 points and Beaulieu rebounds with 11.

Williams leads the ECC in scoring this season with 18.6 ppg and is about 100 shy of 1,000 for her career.

Mercy men's hoops

Below is the release for tonight's men's basketball game between East Coast Conference partners, the University of D.C. and Mercy College in our nation's capital.

Mercy sophomore forward Jordan Lee (Englewood, N.J.) contributed a double-double, but the Mavericks ended up falling to UDC, 90-58.

College News from Dick Miller 

On the 10th, Nick Nedwick ( Irv. '09) and his E.C.U. team hosted Mass-Dartmouth, with the Warrior taking their 10th game of the season, 83-71. 

The starter scored 14 points, and had 3 rebounds, 4 assists, and 2 steals in the win. Hosting the Maine-Presquile five on the 12th, he had 6-13 in baskets, a perfect 6-6 in foul attempts, for 18 points, plus 2 boards and 5 assists in the 83-51 win.

In another home game with U. Mass.-Boston on the 14th , an 82-52 romp, Nedwick was game high in points , with 22 , as well as in assists with 7, plus 2 steals, as the record is now 12-1: 5-0.
