Hastings boys basketball squad defeated 59-39 in the championship game of the John Costello Tournament Dec. 10.
Earning tournament MVP honors for Hastings was Joe Tino, who had 17 points, 23 rebounds and eight assists in the two tourney games.

Irvington girls hoops win
Irvington's girls basketball squad defeated Ursuline 59-37 on Dec. 10 at White Plains High School.
Leading the Bulldogs were juniors, Player of the Game Alexis Martins (15 points, 21 rebounds) and Brittni Lai (16 points, three steals).

Mercy men fall
Mercy College men's basketball squad lost at Maryland Eastern-Shore 95-69 Dec. 10.
Colin Senior led Mercy with 17 points and teammate Joseph Pope registered 11.
