Hastings girls basketball
Alex LeFevre registered 16 points for Hastings in the Yellow Jackets' 53-51 loss to visiting Woodlands Dec. 12.
Teammate Kelsey Barry recorded seven points, 12 rebounds and five assists.

Sweeney starring on mound
Thanks to the Mercy College Sports Information Department for sharing this news about alum Brian Sweeney:
baseball alumnus Brian Sweeney recently is once again representing his alma mater in MLB after having signed with the New York Mets and spending last season with their AAA affiliate, the Buffalo Bisons.
He is currently playing winter ball in Venezuela, and on Dec. 9 pitched 6.0 innings of one-hit ball, striking out seven. Details in feature below:
