Dobbs duo shines in cross country

The below was submitted by a Dobbs Ferry cross-country/track supporter:
Brendan Wortner and Sarah King from Dobbs Ferry High School were both named first-team All-Stars by Lohud/Journal News for cross country.

They were also recognized by the Section 1 coaches association as first-team all-county and all-section. In addition, Brendan was selected for first team all-state.
As for the winter season, Brendan won the 1,600 meter race at the first Section 1 Kick-Off indoor track meet this past Sun. (12/11) in 4:31:00. Results are on http://ny.milesplit.com/.
Girls lax gives back
The Mercy College women's lacrosse squad has reached its goal as it has collected over 100 bags of clothing for donations to developing countries.

Hastings girls win
Led by 11 points from Lucy Mondello, the Hastings girls basketball squad defeated visiting Bronxville 37-29 on Dec. 14.
