Irvington girls roll

girls basketball squad is like train going right on the track and not stopping because it just simply will not stop for anyone.

The Bulldogs continued to stay on track in their Dec. 21 home contest, a 67-28 rout against Bronxville. Alexis Martins registered 15 points and nine rebounds with Brittni Lai tallying 13 points and seven rebounds.

Laurilyn Gelardi contributed eight points for the host, who improved to 6-0.

 

Dobbs girls win

There is nothing like a big rivalry game in sports and Dobbs Ferry got to participate in one when it traveled to Hastings in a girls basketball contest Dec. 21.

Midori Kihara and Alyssa Chipelo made sure the Eagles would be smiling in the end as they scored 13 and nine points respectively in leading the Eagles to a 56-40 triumph.

Lea Destelhurst registered 15 points and Alex LeFevre tallied 10 for Hastings.

Boys play as well

The boys basketball teams also got into the rivalry act, with Dobbs Ferry defeating host Hastings 66-41 Dec. 21.

Leading Dobbs Ferry was Eddie Ritch (21 points), Thomas Fleming (14), Matt Latanier (11) and Eric Paschall (11).

Leading the Yellow Jackets was Dillon Healy with 18 points.
