Below is the release for men's basketball 89-80 win over St. Thomas Aquinas. It was the first win for the Mavericks over the Spartans since 2005.
Junior guard Colin Senior (Hackensack, N.J.) netted a game-high and season-high 26 points.

Children's Village wins in hoops
Children's Village got some big-time performances in beating visiting Greenburgh Academy 61-49 Jan. 20 in boys basketball.
Vance Crichlow registered 17 points and Roger Owens tallied 16 points and 16 rebounds. Teammates Kareem Padgett scored 16 points and Anthony Trotter recorded six points, 10 rebounds and five steals.
Irvington loses in OT
Jon Goldreich scored a team-high 20 points for Irvington in its 50-41 boys basketball loss to host Yonkers Jan. 20.
