
Carolina Abreu of Dobbs Ferry and her Mercy College volley ball team lost 3-0 at Queens College on Nov. 1, with the middle hitter playing, while At District of Columbia U. on the 5th, she also saw action in the 3-1 win, with the record now 10-24.
The Pace women's volley ball team (18-9:8-5) lost to New Haven on the 1st, 3-1, as Tamilee Webb had 4 kills, 16 total assists, plus 2 digs in the game, while in a 3-0 blanking at St. Michael's of Vt. on the 4th, she had 14 kills and 32 assists on the day. The season finale on the 5th, a 3-0 win at St. Anselm's of New Hampshire, Webb had 7 kills, 21 assists, and 4 digs in the game.
Football:
Hosting Rochester on the 5th, after leading 13-7 through the first 3 quarters, the St. Lawrence Saints yielded 14 points to the Yellow Jackets in the 4th and lost the game, 18-13.
Line backer Trevor Saunders (DF'08) had a busy day on the field, as he had 2 kickoffs for 49 yards, intercepted a pass at 5:10 of the first quarter, and ran it into the end zone for a 6-0 lead, had a 2nd interception later in the game, and had 2 solo and 4 tackling assist, plus a sack of the Q.B., as the team' s record dropped to 2-6 .
At Ursinus on Nov. 5th, the Muhlenberg Mules topped the Bears, 24-21, with Luke D'Alessandro having 1 tackling assist in the win, with the record now 6-3: 6-2.
In a 40-21 loss at home to Middlebury, Garrett Hoy (Irv'10) 7 pass receptions for 60 yards, was 3-3 in extra point conversions, and failed on to field goal attempts,
as Hamilton's record fell to 2-5-0.
Swimming:
Katie Flood (H'10) and her Oswego Laker swim team, out scored the hosts, 129-90 , as she finished 2nd in the 200 MR, clocked at 2:18.49, and then, in the 200 Freestyle , she won the race in 2:27.77, almost 2 seconds faster than the 2nd place finisher.
Soccer:
At St. Joseph's of Philadelphia on the 5th, forward Aaron Markowitz (H'08) had 2 shots in the win, while in the season finale at Temple on the 6th, he had 3 shots , with 1 on goal in the 1-0, double overtime win .The Rams open the Atlantic 10 Championship on the 11th, with an opponent yet to be determined.
In N.Y. U.'s final game of the season (7-9-1:2-5), Mac Yumoto of Hastings saw action . He played in 14 games, started 4, had 1 assist, and had 4 shots, with 3 on goal during the season.
Cross Country:
At the E.C.A.C. cross country championship on the 5th, Johnson and Wales finished 15th of 40 colleges entered, with Joanne Mumbey (DF'11) finishing 117th with a time of 26:39.
Wrestling:
At the opening Ithaca Invitational on the 4th and 5th, Derrick Longo, wrestling in the 165 pound category, had 2 pins in a total of 9:40 minutes, before elimination. His Springfield Pride team finished 5th of 9 schools entered, with 158 points.
