Cops: Man Had Kids in Car While Buying Pot in East Meadow
Incident happened Monday night, cops said.

A man was caught selling a pound of marijuana in East Meadow Monday to a father who had his two young children in the car, according to Nassau County Police.
Cops said they saw Paul Kim, 29, of New Hyde Park, complete a drug transaction at 8:20 p.m. in a parking lot on Hempstead Turnpike. The buyer, Mansur Wajid, 23, of Roosevelt, handed over cash in exchange for a plastic bag containing a pound of marijuana, police said.

Officers moved in to arrest the two and discovered Wajid’s two children, a 1-year-old and a 4-month-old, were in the back seat of his car, cops said. The children were release to their mother at the scene.
Wajid was charged with two counts of endangering the welfare of a child and second-degree criminal possession of marijuana.

Kim was also found with Oxycodone pills during his arrest, police said. He was charged with first-degree criminal sale of marijuana, second-degree criminal possession of marijuana, and seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance.
Both were arraigned Tuesday at First District Court in Hempstead. Wajid was released on $1,000 bail and Kim is free on $5,000 bail. They will both be back in court on Thursday.
