
Police are searching for a man who robbed a bank in East Rockaway on Tuesday afternoon.
According to police, the man entered the Capital One Bank, located at 115 Main St., and verbally demanded money at 2:16 p.m.
After obtaining an undetermined amount of cash, the robber fled the bank on foot heading south on Baisley Avenue.

There were six employees and no customers inside the bank at the time of the robbery. No injuries were reported.
The robber is described as a white male, 5-foot-9 and with a thin build. He was wearing a red hooded sweatshirt, black pants and a Burberry-type scarf, police said.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the robbery to call Nassau County Crime Stoppers at 1-800-244-TIPS. All callers will remain anonymous.
