Man Arrested After Breaking Into Rockville Centre Store: Police

On Dec. 6 at 9:24 a.m., a store manager on N. Village Avenue reported counterfeit money was used for a money transfer.

Leaving the Scene of an Auto Accident
On Dec. 3 at 10:25 a.m., a driver reported his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while he was driving on Peninsula Boulevard.

On Dec. 8 at 2:41 p.m., a driver reported her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene in a parking lot on Merrick Road.
Arrests
On Dec. 3 at 12:53 p.m., Rachel A. Gonzalez, 38, of Lawrence, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after she was observed driving on Sunrise Highway.
On Dec. 6 at 4:18 a.m., Ruben Pichardo-Ramirez, 29, of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with third-degree burglary, third-degree grand larceny and fourth-degree criminal mischief after police say he broke into a store on Sunrise Highway.
On Dec. 6 at 11:07 a.m., Shamar Tucker, 33, of Freeport, was arrested and charged with second-degree aggravated unlicensed operation and other traffic offenses after he was observed driving on Morris Avenue.
On Dec. 8 at 8:43 p.m., Jai A. Persaud, 67, of Lynbrook, was arrested and charged with DWI after police say he was involved in an auto accident on Peninsula Boulevard. One minor injury was sustained by an occupant of the second vehicle.
