ALERT: ATM Skimmer Found at 67 Purchase St. HSBC Bank ATM in Rye

The City of Rye Police Department announced that it recovered what is believed to be an ATM card skimming device -- an attachment used to copy information from users' ATM cards -- from the HSBC Bank located at 67 Purchase St. in Rye on Sunday, Oct. 9 at approximately 9:45 a.m.

Anyone who may have used that ATM this weekend is advised to immediately contact their bank's security department to inform them that your card security may have been compromised.

There is no additional information available at this time, however the police department will keep residents informed of any further information that becomes available regarding the security of their data.
