The discovery of a report filed by a police supervisor could have an impact on the lawsuit.

A long-buried report about supposed aggressiveness of Rye Police Off. Anthony Rosace, the cop at the center of a police brutality lawsuit, recently turned up and could affect the future of the complaint, writes The Journal News.
Just over 10 years ago, Rye resident Andrew Caspi claims Off. Rosace and officers Franco Compagnone and Michael Anfuso beat and kicked him during a confrontation. Caspi suffered several injuries and was arrested on a charge of assault, among others.
The found report by one of Rosace’s supervisors speaks about that was not the first time the officer allegedly hurt a suspect, and its discovery has led to city and police officials being added back to the lawsuit. The move could help bolster’s the claim by Caspi’s attorneys that officials knew of Rosace’s alleged history but did not stop it.
