Rye PD Seeks Help In Prom Night Assault On Teen Near HS Football Field
The teenager told police that the early morning assault involved a stranger who had been following her.

RYE, NY — A teenager was left shaken, but reportedly unharmed, after an early morning assault.
The Rye Police Department said it is investigating an assault that took place in the early morning hours Saturday, around 1:40 a.m., on Boston Post Road, close to the Rye High School football field.
Police say the victim, an 18-year-old woman, reported being followed by an unknown man who assaulted her.

The suspect is described as white, approximately 6 feet tall, weighing 180 pounds, wearing tan khaki type pants, a dark blue shirt with no markings and a dark blue baseball style cap, also with no markings on it.
The victim did not report any physical injuries nor any weapon used.

The Rye Police Department is being assisted by the Westchester County Police and the Westchester County District Attorney in their investigation.
