School of the Holy Child Appoints New Middle School Head

School of the Holy Child is pleased to announce the appointment of of new middle school head. Colleen Pettus will start in July 2012.

Head of Ann F. Sullivan said, “We are extremely happy to welcome Mrs. Pettus to School of the Holy Child. She brings with her a combination of knowledge,experience and a passionate commitment to students.”

Colleen Pettus will take the reins as head of their middle school in July 2012. She currently serves as principal at Saints John and Paul, a K-8 school in Larchmont, NY.

“This is an exciting opportunity to work with a terrific group of students, faculty and parents, as well as a community that cares deeply about the School,” says Pettus. “The ability to empathize and connect with all of the different members of a school community has been a very important part of my experience as an educational leader. My current position as principal, identity as a “lead teacher” and role as a parent helps me identify with and meet the needs of all of the groups I will be responsible for caring for at Holy Child. I greatly look forward to working closely with the students, administration and staff, and supporting them in their endeavors.”
