Dump Truck Smashes Through Smith Haven Mall Macy's, ATM Stolen

Two men reportedly plowed a dump truck through a front door at the Smith Haven Mall Macy’s early Tuesday and then fled with a stolen ATM.

At least one of the men doesn’t seem to have made it very far. News 12 video shows a man in handcuffs with the dump truck nearby.

The brazen theft occurred around 2:30 a.m., police said. Aviation and a K-9 unit responded to search for the suspects, police said.

Police have not confirmed that any arrests have been made as the investigation continues. The stolen ATM was recovered.
