1. May 1 Brookhaven Police Blotter. Check out the most recent arrests in the area with Suffolk County's newest Town of Brookhaven Police Blotter. If you ever witness a crime or have information pertaining to one, you can call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. Information is anonymous and a cash reward is often offered. (Sachem Patch)
2. ICYMI: 32-year-old Ronkonkoma man shot multiple times outside his home. Terry Long went outside to start his car, went inside, and when he came back outside was shot multiple times. Long was taken by ambulance to Stony Brook Hospital where he was pronounced dead. No arrests have been made and police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-221-TIPS. 3. Ronkonkoma woman's 4 dogs rescued from burning home. Thanks to quick thinking from veteran Suffolk Auxiliary Police captain Jamorn Chindananta, a woman's 4 dogs are alive and well today. When Chindananta noticed smoke coming from his neighbor's home Sunday morning, he rushed over and found a woman in the garage, but the dogs were still in the house. The captains quick thinking brought the woman and four dogs out to safety before the home was fully engulfed in flames. Multiple agencies responded to extinguish the fire. (Sachem Patch)
