1. Suffolk County Police have released recent crimes reported and arrests in the area in the Brookhaven Town Police Blotter for April 24. "A Lake Ronkonkoma couple reported that one of their checks was cloned and then used by an unknown person. Further details were not released." 2. Woman steals car in church parking lot, then drives over the owner. On Saturday night Lorraine Lombardo went to St. Mary's Church to drop off clothes for donation. She left her car running and Doreen Dumbar got in the driver's seat and Lombardo ran back to her car, opened the door and grabbed the steering wheel. Dumbar put the car in reverse and ran over Lombardo's foot and then drove into the fence and left the scene. Officers were able to locate Dunbar and arrest her a short time later. (Sachem Patch)
3. ICYMI: Woman leaves scene of accident, then good Samaritan follows her home where she was arrested. Pauline Ross was driving a 2020 Hyundai Elantra southbound on North Ocean Avenue when her car struck a pedestrian walking in the roadway at about 10:20 p.m., police said. She left the scene, leaving a 50-year-old man injured. A woman who witnessed the scene followed her home, called 911 and 71-year-old Ross was arrested. (Sachem Patch)
